Le chaim
Jews do not drink "to health", but "to life." Many necessities are needed for a quality life. And we also include a glass of quality kosher wine. White or red? Kidush wine? Grape juice? Or maybe a bottle of good grape must? We have everything. Israeli wines, Czech wines. And everything is kosher. And what does that actually mean?
What is "kosher wine"?
This is a wine that is produced according to strict rules and procedures. And it is made only by Orthodox Jews according to strict Jewish traditions. It is they who are with the wine from the actual processing of the grapes, they bottle the wine, stopper it, label it… Such kosher Israeli wine tastes not only in the sun, but also in loving care.
Why wine?
It's easy, drinking wine is not just a whim. It has a long tradition in Judaism that dates back to biblical times. In short, kosher wine has always been produced as far as the history and abilities of archaeologists and scientists go. Jews specialized in the production of Israeli wine not only at home but also in the diaspora, where many were forced to go. And it is exactly the same in modern times. The excellent Israeli kosher wine comes directly from Israel, and thanks to skilful Jewish winemakers who live in the diaspora, their production has spread throughout the world. And it is becoming an increasingly sought-after product of even the most famous wine regions that you can think of.
Wine is part of the vast majority of Jewish holidays. He plays prim at a seder dinner, about Purim, it is a necessity about Shabbat, a Jewish wedding or circumcision.
"Blessed are you, Lord, who created the fruit of the vine."
Wine from us
So it is not directly from us, but from our shop, where the stands with Israeli and Czech kosher wine are still full and we guarantee their kosher origin, quality and taste. You can choose from a number of Israeli wines, often from traditional family wineries, which supply their wine to the whole world. Of course, we also think of Czech production, so we have a delicious wine of several varieties from the Chrámce winery. Imagine that it is not a wine from the "southern slopes", but from northern Bohemia. There it is lovingly cared for and it is definitely recognizable in taste and quality.
Don't you want alcohol?
There are many reasons for this. Some people just don't want to drink alcohol, some can't and some like to enjoy delicious fruit flavors. That is why in our offer you will also find grape juices, which are suitable for kiddush and many children and adults will definitely lick them. That taste will be remembered. Do you need vitamins? In that case, we have excellent grape musts for you. These are ideal in any weather. In summer you can add some fresh fruit and a few ice cubes and you have a wonderful lemonade that will refresh you on hot days, quench your thirst and even satisfy you. And in winter? Heat the must, add a little favorite spice, pour into a cup and warm up. And of course you can add a drop of something sharper to the hot must, wink, wink.
What did you not know about kosher wine?
The most popular kosher wine is red wine. Why? It is believed that it was the red kosher wine that the Jews drank during the Seder at the time they escaped from Egyptian captivity. But if you prefer to enjoy a glass of white kosher wine, the rabbis have a solution for you too. You can drip some red food coloring into it during the seder dinner. And it is done!
Back in the 1980s, it was almost impossible to find kosher Israeli wine outside Israel. And not only in our country, but all over the world. But that is the past. At present, the interest of consumers and kosher wine producers is growing rapidly. Many winemakers are building kosher wine cellars and quality Israeli kosher wine and kosher wine from other wineries around the world is becoming a great attraction for tourists not only of Jewish origin. That's right, everyone likes to enjoy the quality.
